Lieutenant-Governor Lois Mitchell is expected to rise in the house at about 3:00 p.m. to deliver the speech that outlines the NDP government’s priorities for the coming year.

It could be a brief sitting if Premier Rachel Notley calls a spring election soon.

By law, a provincial vote must be held by May 31.
