Owner of Adesh Deol Trucking to appear in court

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The owner of the trucking company connected to the Humboldt Broncos crash will make another court appearance Friday in Calgary.

Sukhmander Singh is facing eight charges related to non-compliance of federal and provincial regulations.

The charges include failing to maintain logs for drivers hours of service and failing to monitor the compliance of a driver under safety regulations.

The truck driver, Jaskirat Singh Sidhu went through a stop sign and hit the Humboldt Broncos team bus last April.

Sidhu had been working for Adesh Deol Trucking for just three weeks prior to the deadly crash.

Sidhu pleaded guilty to 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing injury in January and is expected to be sentenced next Friday.
