Police tell 660 NEWS they responded to a report that someone possibly had a weapon.
However, they did not locate one, and the object in question may have been a musical instrument.
The airport reported there was no risk to the public and reopened the airport shortly after the disruption.
“There were some impacts to passengers in the terminal, there were some impacts to passengers who were on incoming flights. We apologize for those delays and thank everyone for their patience,” Spokesperson Reid Fiest said Thursday afternoon.
We can confirm that we did attend the location to conduct an investigation but at this time there is no threat and officers will be remaining to provide a reassuring presence. #yyc #Calgary @FlyYYC https://t.co/Sf3TwRvSMz
