ALERT makes million dollar drug seizure in Edmonton

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – ALERT has seized more than $1-million worth of drugs and charged three men after search warrants were carried out at three Edmonton homes.
ALERT Edmonton’s organized crime and gang team seized nearly nine kilograms of cocaine, along with methamphetamine and cannabis resin. Two prohibited handguns were also seized.
Homes in the Edmonton neighbourhoods of Hogdson, Terwillegar, and Mill Woods were searched on November 27, 2018. The following items were seized:
- 8.7 kilograms of cocaine
- 216 grams of methamphetamine
- 8.6 kilograms of a cocaine buffing agent
- 1,000 packages of cannabis resin
- two handguns and ammunition
- $44,800 cash
James Jackson, 44, Richard Comely, 37, and Scott Doberstein, 38, have been charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine; possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking; production of a controlled substance; along with other firearm related charges.
