EDMONTON – A central Alberta man has been charged after driving an S-U-V through a barrier and onto the Edmonton International Airport.

R-C-M-P and airport security later found the vehicle in a rural area.

He is also charged with mischief, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and other offences.

R-C-M-P did not release a motive, but say the airport was not a planned target.
